Tanzanian Safari Overview

Karibu to Tanzania, the safari heaven!

Beside the mighty Kilimanjaro Tanzania has much more to offer. Magical names like Serengeti and Ngorongoro become reality here. The perfect way to relax after a Kili climb or to prepare for it, 7summits.com organizes Safaris tailored to your trip. Below is an overview with links to detailed pages.

Types of Safari

There are 3 types of Safari, on each type of trip you will get a private car (donkeys on the walking safari!), driver and cook, just the places you sleep are different. In ascending order of price, click for more info about the locations and types:

Please note that a safari should at least be 3 days. Shorter means a lot of driving to, between and from the parks, without much time to see the animals.

If you want to include the Serengeti (recommended), then the Safari should be at least 5 days for the same reason.

Please see the trip page for the latest prices

The parks

We organize safaris to all of the mayor parks in Tanzania:

Itineraries

Like our Kilimanjaro trips our Safari trips are tailor-made to fit your schedule. Depending on your interest, budget and time available we will suggest a 3-8 day itinerary (or more!) to fit your needs.

A typical 5 day itinerary would be like this:

Day 1: Early morning, drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive in the park with lunch boxes. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara.

Day 2: Early morning drive to the Serengeti with lunch boxes. Afternoon game drive around the Seronera area. Dinner and overnight at Seronera.

Day 3: After breakfast, tour Serengeti with lunch boxes. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: After breakfast, morning tour of Serengeti and then drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Afternoon visit locval village or hike to Olmoti crater. Dinner and overnight at the Crater or Lake Manyara.

Day 5: After breakfast, half day game drive in the NgoroNgoro crater with lunch boxes. Afternoon drive to Mto Wa Mbu for mini shopping. Return to Moshi via Arusha.

You could add a Balloon flight after a night in the Serengeti!
